You can always connect the dots in your life if you are looking back.
The true art is believing that this moment right now is a dot that is connecting you to something amazing that’s coming in the future.
— Mel Robbins
A professional coaching relationship is about personal connection, strategic fit, and energy. You should feel the spark of inspiration from the beginning.
Beyond chemistry, my clients typically want a coach to hold them accountable, act as a sounding board, and open a safe space for real talk and reflection. They want to know that I get it — that I deeply understand the mental, physical, and emotional demands of lawyering.
Each of my professional roles has shaped me into the coach I am today and connected the expertise I bring to my clients.
JEN’S JOURNEY

Outside the office, I volunteer for a charity thrift store as an event planner, social media manager, and newsletter editor — all proceeds support WEAVE, serving survivors of domestic violence in Sacramento County. I’m easily distracted by dogs, especially my Boxer girls.

My coaching style is inspired by:
A decade in advertising sales to managing partners, marketing directors, and CEOs. I learned the science of selling and the art of building trusted advisor relationships.
Ten years as a marketing and business development manager inside B2B boutiques and big law. I supported practice group leaders, department chiefs, and attorneys at all levels. We transformed strengths and styles into systems and strategies for BD success.
Five years as a brand builder and marketing consultant for a family law firm. The competitive consumer market pushed me to grow and be open to the power of empathy, curiosity, and care for both clients and their lawyers.
Going on fourteen years married to a divorce litigator turned mediator. I continue to learn about lawyering up close and how to approach work/life alignment with clarity and confidence.
As of 2024, seven years as a performance coach in a “doer-seller” career — a job that requires focus and balance between client work and business origination.
Oh, and just for fun, two years as the small business owner of Malibu Pet Sitters — while attending college full time to complete my undergrad degree. This incredible experience taught me all about logos, brochures, invoicing, time management, body language (canine), customer service (human), and the art of herding cats. 🐾
